About

My name is Ashton Lafferty and my family and I moved to Park Hill in 2004. At the beginning of 2008, I was motivated to start up Park Hill Tech by what I felt were unreasonable prices from the bigger computer service companies in the area, as well as their tendency to recommend things like a new motherboard or an entire system when it wasn’t necessary. I also had an interest to work within the neighborhood, and a desire to have a schedule flexible enough to spend time with my family when needed. So far I’ve been fortunate to meet great people within my own immediate community, as well as the Lowry and Stapleton areas, and I hope to continue meeting more as business grows.

Previous to this venture, I worked as an IT Administrator for a unique recording studio here in Denver which produces books and magazines on tape as a service for the National Library Service’s Books on Tape Program. About 6 years ago the program began its move toward digital media, and I jumped at the chance to aid the studio’s efforts to convert their aging analog recording booths into modern digital audio workstations, as well as helping to design a new workflow that centered around the production of digital media. The work was extremely rewarding, and I am proud to have done my part to contribute to the Library of Congress collection, and lucky to have worked with so many people devoted to the program and the proper pronunciation of words!
